The Association of Hospitality and Nightlife of Vila-real (Ashiovi) has celebrated the awards ceremony for the II Carajillo Route and the XVIII Tapas Route, events that strengthen the local economy and citizen coexistence.

The Association of Hospitality and Nightlife of Vila-real (Ashiovi) held the awards ceremony for the II Carajillo Route and the XVIII Tapas Route, gastronomic initiatives that once again position the city as a hospitality leader in the province. The event, held at the Gran Casino, was attended by institutional representatives, members of the organization, and festive authorities from Vila-real.
The Councilor for Hospitality and Commerce, Xus Madrigal, highlighted that these proposals aim to promote local consumption and strengthen the proximity economy, as well as offer spaces for coexistence. The president of Ashiovi, Emilio Miralles, emphasized the consolidation of both routes and the high participation.
The XVIII Tapas Route, with 15 participating establishments, recorded the consumption of 8,050 tapas and an estimated business volume of 40,250 euros. In the professional category, Pizzeria Cristal won the first prize for both free tapa and tapa with orange. Bar La Plana received the popular vote award for the best free tapa, and Pico de Gallo for the best tapa with orange.
The II Carajillo Route also saw significant participation, with 27 establishments involved. Among the awardees, Bar Madrigal stood out, obtaining the first prize in both traditional carajillo and free elaboration categories. El Rincón de la Olivereta, Valentine’s Cafe & Bar, Restaurante El Termet, and El Casino also received awards.
The organization also maintained the solidarity component of the gastronomic routes by making a charitable contribution to the association Un pequeño paso (1 PePa), dedicated to people with Prader-Willi syndrome. Ashiovi highly valued the development of both initiatives as a tool for promoting local gastronomy and tourism for Vila-real.
