The Association of Hospitality and Nightlife of Vila-real (Ashiovi) has held the awards ceremony for the II Carajillo Route and the XVIII Tapas Route, consolidating the city's culinary and dynamic potential in the sector.

The event, held at the Gran Casino, was attended by municipal representatives such as deputy mayor Maria Fajardo and the Councilor for Hospitality and Commerce, Xus Madrigal, as well as the city's festival queen and her court. Madrigal highlighted the aim of these initiatives to boost local consumption and strengthen the proximity economy, offering spaces for social gathering around gastronomy.
Ashiovi's president, Emilio Miralles, emphasized the consolidation of both events, which saw high participation this year. The II Carajillo Route featured 27 establishments, blending tradition and innovation. Bar Madrigal won first prize in both traditional and creative carajillo categories, followed by El Rincón de la Olivereta, Valentine's Cafe & Bar, Restaurante El Termet, and El Casino in their respective categories.
The XVIII Tapas Route, now of legal age, involved 15 establishments. A total of 8,050 tapas were consumed, generating an estimated business volume of 40,250 euros. Pizzeria Cristal received the professional jury award for both free-style and orange-ingredient tapas, while Bar La Plana and Pico de Gallo won the popular vote awards.
The event also recognized the involvement of participants, collaborators, and sponsors, as well as the jury's work. Eight gift vouchers were raffled, and two special checks were presented. Additionally, Ashiovi made a charitable contribution to the association Un pequeño paso (1 PePa), dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome.
