This program, developed by the Santa María la Real Foundation at the facilities of the Local Agency for Economic and Social Development, focuses on areas such as energy efficiency, circular economy, and renewable energies. The initiative, celebrating its fourth edition in 2026, offers online and free training to foster employability in the green and sustainable sector.
“"Impulsa Empleo Verde is a new step towards sustainable socio-labor inclusion."
Among this year's novelties are learning communities with technical initiation in the most demanded subjects from previous editions. Additionally, a system for classifying green jobs has been implemented, shared with third-sector professionals, along with a talent bank featuring participant profiles.
The Santa María la Real Foundation drives this initiative with the support of the Repsol Foundation and the collaboration and funding from the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030. The program, lasting 32 hours, consists of group sessions, individual coaching, and professional webinars delivered by green sector specialists.
Since 2023, over 290 unemployed individuals from various parts of Spain have participated in this project, with more than 55% improving their employment situation. The return of the MOOC for professionals seeking to update their skills in the green economy sector is also planned, enhancing training for green employment and raising awareness about job opportunities for vulnerable groups.
