The Elda City Council has opened the tender process for the organization of the 2027 Three Kings' Day Parade, as well as the Royal Camp and Royal Herald, with a budget of €246,726.87 (VAT included).

The contract, published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, outlines a comprehensive artistic, logistical, and security plan to ensure the success of one of the most crowded events in Elda's festive calendar. The parade will take place on January 5th, starting around 6:30 PM and lasting at least one hour. The planned route will begin on Monóvar Avenue and conclude at the Plaza de la Constitución.
The parade must feature a minimum of eight illuminated and sound-equipped floats: three dedicated to the Three Kings, three with children's themes, and two recreating historical motifs. All must have special artistic lighting, capacity for at least twenty seated individuals, and approved safety systems. The tender specifies a structure divided into four main blocks: an opening with fireworks and a local music band; a playful and children's block with large-format animation groups, music bands, and dance groups; a historical section with a nativity scene and the Kings' floats; and the culmination in the Plaza de la Constitución with the Adoration representation, including a specific stage and a new pyrotechnic show.
The awarded company will also be responsible for the complete characterization of the Three Kings, the Royal Herald, pages, and entourage, including makeup, hairstyling, costumes, and a dedicated preparation space. Furthermore, they must provide all necessary security plans, private surveillance, healthcare assistance, and technical resources, such as a first-aid station, two basic life support ambulances, one advanced life support ambulance, and four portable radios. A supply of 3,000 kilograms of soft jelly-type candies is required for distribution during the parade, plus an additional 200 kilograms for the Royal Herald's event.
The contract also includes the organization of the Royal Camp, a free activity to be held on January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th between Plaza del Sagrado Corazón and Plaza de la Constitución. This theatrical route must feature at least ten scenes set in the world of the Three Kings. Meanwhile, the Royal Herald will tour the city's streets between December 26th and January 2nd to collect children's letters, with a two-hour procession comprising fifty costumed individuals, two music bands, and the Herald on horseback.
The contract has an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of two additional extensions, potentially covering the Christmas campaigns of 2028 and 2029.
