The Almassora City Council has welcomed 11 unemployed individuals to reinforce municipal services, nine through the Municipal Employment Plan and two with grants from the Provincial Council of Castellón.

The Almassora City Council has welcomed 11 new workers who will strengthen various municipal areas. Nine of these contracts are part of the 18th Municipal Employment Plan promoted by the council, while the remaining two were made possible by grants from the Provincial Council of Castellón, aimed at improving public attention and services.
The mayor of Almassora, María Tormo, presided over the onboarding ceremony for the new employees. These professionals will undertake support tasks in key areas such as public service, cleaning, maintenance of public buildings and facilities, among other municipal services.
This initiative is part of the municipal strategy to promote labor insertion and, simultaneously, optimize the functioning of public services. The Municipal Employment Plan aims to offer job opportunities to unemployed individuals from the municipality, facilitating the acquisition of professional experience and improving their prospects of entering the job market.

"This program reflects the City Council's commitment to people seeking employment opportunities. We are working to provide tools that improve residents' employability and facilitate their entry into the workforce."

The mayor also highlighted the social dimension of these policies, reminding that behind each contract there is a person, a family, and an opportunity. The municipal commitment to active employment policies is considered a fundamental instrument for generating new opportunities and improving citizens' quality of life.
The 18th Municipal Employment Plan is in addition to other employment and training actions promoted by the council. Last year, the City Council allocated nearly €377,000 to employment programs and over €876,000 to training initiatives, totaling an investment exceeding €1.25 million. Programs such as the workshop school, the employment workshop, and the upcoming summer agricultural plan also contribute to enhancing the professional skills of Almassora residents.
Furthermore, the City Council maintains its collaboration with the local business community through the municipal employment agency. Via the Gestionándote platform, companies can post job offers for free, while the Department of Economic Promotion, Employment, and Consumption handles labor intermediation between companies and job seekers.
