The awards recognized El regalo, by Lara Izaguirre, as the best fiction short film, in an edition marked by the high quality of the selected works and a notable presence of female talent among the awarded titles and professionals. The Skyliner Award went to Fele Martínez, in a particularly symbolic year for the festival, celebrating a decade of trajectory.
This consolidating edition gathered over 750 submitted short films and featured a program combining exhibition, industry, and parallel activities, reinforcing its role as a qualifying festival for the Goya Awards. The event also took a step further in its international dimension with Mexico as a guest country and strengthened its commitment to accessibility and audience development.

The festival management emphasized that Skyline is at a very clear point of maturity, having grown in programming, industry, and international projection. Furthermore, they announced that they are already planning for the next edition, the eleventh.
Among the awards of the 2026 edition, in addition to the aforementioned El regalo, 10 metros sobre tierra by Irene Baqué was distinguished as best documentary, and El fantasma de la quinta by James A. Castillo in animation. Best direction went to Lucía G. Romero for Casi septiembre, and best performance to Ana Barja for the same work. The DAMA Award for best screenplay was given to Gamuza, by Alex Gargot.
