The historic pine forest of Finca d’Escolano, located opposite Marge Roig in Dénia, is becoming a new municipal green area with free access, following a transfer agreement with the property.

This space, covering approximately 3,000 square meters, was designated as a green area in the local Structural General Plan. Its opening to the public enriches the city's offering of natural spaces, which currently lacks many areas of this type.
The new green area, known as the pine forest of Finca d’Escolano, is located at the beginning of the Marge Roig promenade, in Marineta Cassiana. It will be equipped with public use furniture, including picnic tables and a biosaludable park, among other elements.

"It is very good news that such an emblematic and beautiful space becomes public. Now it's time to condition this area for public use. We will likely make the wall more permeable and open an access. I think it will be a very important point that will add even more value to this Marineta promenade."

the Councilor for Territory
The Dénia City Council has expressed gratitude for the owners' willingness to make this agreement possible. The pine forest, which offers shade near the sea, has been linked to Dénia's history since the 1940s, and will now become accessible to all citizens.
