This new stoppage, called by the STEP-CV union, seeks to improve working conditions in early childhood education, in both public and private centers. Among the main demands are reduced ratios, increased salaries, expanded staff, and more dignified working hours for professionals in the sector.
The May 7 call precedes the indefinite strike of Valencian education, scheduled to begin on May 11. Meanwhile, mobilizations continue throughout the educational sector in the region, with protest gatherings aiming to raise awareness of teachers' demands.
“"Daily sustains real inclusion in educational centers: accompanies, cares for, attends to, and protects students with greater educational and personal needs."
These gatherings also serve to show support for Educational Support staff, whose work is fundamental to ensuring the inclusion of students with special needs. Their lack of protection is one of the concerns driving these protest actions in Marina Alta.
