The Councilor for Social Welfare, Clara Adsuara, and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Paco Cabañero, attended the solidarity lunch organized by the Ateneu Castelló Foundation, which will receive funding for a new center.

The Councilor for Social Welfare of Castelló, Clara Adsuara, and the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Paco Cabañero, participated this Sunday in the solidarity lunch organized by the Association-Foundation for Acquired Brain Injury Ateneu Castelló. The event, held next to the entity's headquarters in the facilities of the former Tetuán XIV barracks, was attended by the president of Ateneu, Amalia Diéguez, and the territorial director of Social Services, María José Arquimbau.
Clara Adsuara highlighted the unconditional support of the government team for the Ateneu Castelló Foundation, emphasizing that this meeting served to strengthen ties and consolidate institutional collaboration for the benefit of people with acquired brain injury and their families.
The councilor valued the nominative collaboration agreement with ATENEU, an accord that will guarantee 100,000 euros annually for the next three years. This financial support is key for the maintenance of the Foundation's services and for the launch of the future Rehabilitation Center for Personal Autonomy and Social Participation (CRAPPS), which will benefit numerous individuals affected by acquired brain injury.
Adsuara confirmed that this year's budget, 2026, includes a specific allocation of 100,000 euros from the Social Welfare area to aid in the creation of the new CRAPPS center. This space, ceded by the Castelló City Council, will be the first of its kind at the regional level.
The councilor expressed pride that Castelló will be the location where this center is launched, which will respond to the demands of the association and the families it cares for.
