The Dénia Youth Band offered a thematic concert last Sunday at the Social Center, where sixty musicians recreated a radio program with a musical journey through different decades and continents.

The event, directed by Javier Pinto, managed to fill almost ninety percent of the multipurpose hall, despite the summer weather that encouraged outdoor activities. The group was reinforced by musicians from the senior band, who shared the stage, somewhat crowded, for this performance.
One of the most notable peculiarities of the concert was the introduction of each musical piece through pre-recorded voice audios. This technique simulated the structure of a radio program, evoking past times and offering an original experience to the attending public.
The musical journey culminated with the performance of the well-known song «Il Mondo». This piece, composed in the mid-sixties by Gianni Meccia, Carlo Pes, and Ennio Morricone, and popularized by Jimmy Fontana, was the most applauded and celebrated by the audience, bringing the concert to a close.
