Construction has commenced with vigor on the new Calp Festero Museum, located on the site of the former Casa Beltrán, a key cultural project for this legislative term.

Following social and political debates, and after the demolition of the former Casa Beltrán in March, construction of the Calp Festero Museum is moving forward at full speed. Workers and machinery are now installing the initial structures, with a concrete base already in place.
This new cultural facility will transform the former Plaza de España, situated in the town's historic heart. The awarded company has a ten-month deadline to complete the work.
The project, with a budget of 1.5 million euros partly funded by European funds (401,000 euros), had initially considered expanding the plaza, but this option has now been discarded.
Another hurdle overcome involved investigating potential historical vestiges on the site. Archaeological surveys, announced by the local government on May 20th, have ruled out the discovery of remains from the old wall, finding only structures from the 19th and 20th centuries. This allows construction to proceed without further delay.
