The Manises City Council has launched a new transport aid program for university students, higher artistic studies, Basic Vocational Training, and intermediate and higher vocational training cycles for the 2025-2026 academic year. For this initiative, the council has allocated 90,000 euros from the municipal budget.
The Councilor for Education of the Manises City Council, Carmen Moreno, highlighted that “these grants are a fundamental tool to guarantee equal opportunities for Manises students, which is why we decided to make a budgetary effort, especially since free public transport for those under 30 was eliminated”. “From the City Council, we want to support students throughout their educational journey, helping to alleviate the transport costs that many families have to bear and facilitating their access to the studies they desire under the best possible conditions,” added the councilor.
The grants are intended for students registered in Manises who are pursuing official studies in public, subsidized, or private institutions in the Valencian Community and who need to travel outside the municipality for their education, provided these studies are not offered locally or they have not secured a place in the existing offerings.
The individual amount of the grant will be determined based on the number of applications that meet the established requirements, with a maximum amount of 149.90 euros per student.
It is important to remember that the deadline for submitting applications will be ten business days from the day following the publication of the call extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia (BOP), which is June 25, 2026.
Interested individuals must submit their application preferably through the electronic registry of the [municipal Electronic Headquarters](https://manises.sedipualba.es/). They can also complete the process in person at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC) of the Manises City Council. The application must be formalized using the standard form provided by the City Council and accompanied by the documentation required in the call's bases.
