“"This new step consolidates the commitment of the municipal government to Font Dolça and demonstrates, as had been communicated to the residents, that the decision to carry out this project had never been abandoned. Soon, we hope, the long-awaited rehabilitation will become a reality that substantially improves energy efficiency and the daily lives of the residents."

The fourth tender for the rehabilitation of 166 homes in Alcoy's Font Dolça neighborhood has received a single offer from Gestaser Obras y Servicios SL, which is already working in the Sagrado Corazón neighborhood.
The deadline for submitting bids for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the 166 apartments in the Font Dolça neighborhood of Alcoy ended on Monday, and the City Council has confirmed that it has received a proposal. The bid comes from the Alcoy-based company Gestaser Obras y Servicios SL, the same one currently carrying out rehabilitation works in the Sagrado Corazón neighborhood.
The council will now begin the administrative procedures to evaluate the proposal and formalize the award. Once this process is concluded, the works can commence, with an execution period of 10 months, extending through 2027. This project has a budget of 4.2 million euros and is financed by European Funds, for which a Ministry extension has been obtained. It represents a historic intervention in a neighborhood built in the 1960s.
Previously, the council had conducted two joint tenders for the 17 housing blocks in Font Dolça, which remained vacant. Subsequently, a tender by lots was attempted, without success, and now this offer has been submitted in a new open tender.
The intervention includes works such as the removal of asbestos from roofs, waterproofing and thermal sealing of facades using the SATE system, replacement of exterior carpentry, and the incorporation of renewable energies in the 17 buildings and 166 homes constructed in the 1950s.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Vanessa Moltó, has positively assessed that a local company is bidding to transform the lives of these families, highlighting the municipal commitment and the hope that the rehabilitation will substantially improve energy efficiency and the residents' daily lives.
