Compromís has denounced that the local government of Meliana incurred a cost of 150,000 euros in 2025, according to the municipal budget settlement, and criticizes the hiring of an advisor for the Mayor's Office's social media.

The Valencianist party has highlighted the total cost of the municipal corporation's remunerations, which amounted to 170,000 euros in 2025. According to Compromís spokesperson, Joan Orts, 88% of this amount corresponds to the PP government, while the remaining 20,000 euros are attributed to the opposition, formed by Compromís and the PSPV.
In its statement, Compromís emphasizes the remunerations of the mayor, which it quantifies at 30,702.75 euros, and those of the popular spokesperson, Pedro Cuesta, at 23,947.50 euros. The party points out that both the mayor and the PP spokesperson receive these amounts as indemnities and attendance fees for collegiate and governing bodies, since, according to their version, neither of them has exclusive dedication to the Meliana City Council.
Furthermore, Compromís adds that the mayor maintains her job at the Tavernes Blanques City Council and that Cuesta retains his dedication as a provincial deputy. The party also criticizes the cost of the advisor hired to manage the mayor's social media, which amounts to 1,400 euros per month.
Another point of criticism is the publication of a municipal information bulletin distributed this April to homes in the municipality. Orts stated that this publication was not reported in committee nor were opposition municipal groups involved.

"This level of spending contrasts with the situation of various projects that, in our party's opinion, remain pending in the municipality."
