A group of striking teachers greeted the President of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, with shouts of "resignation" and "potato" at the entrance of the Palau de la Música in Valencia, where an educational awards ceremony was being held.

Teachers dressed in green t-shirts and vests have protested outside the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the venue for the GVA Academic Excellence Awards. The protest is part of the fourth week of an indefinite strike in non-university public education in the Valencian Community.
The teachers demanded the resignation of Pérez Llorca and the Minister of Education, Carmen Ortí, for their handling of the conflict. They chanted slogans such as "Pérez Llorca, resignation" and "Consellera, resignation," as well as others like "Shame" directed at the National Police officers deployed in the area. They also displayed banners with slogans like 'Teacher on strike' or 'Llorca potato'.
Criticism towards the Police stems from an incident the previous Sunday, when an officer pushed a woman during a protest outside the Ministry of Education. The woman has filed a complaint, and the National Police have opened disciplinary proceedings against the officer involved.
Inside the event, during the speech by the regional secretary for Universities, Esther Gómez, several audience members asked the president to "sit down and dialogue with the teachers" and unfurled a banner. The presenter requested "respect" and acknowledged the "complicated" situation of the teachers.
A student, representing the award recipients, advocated for public universities as spaces of "plurality, debate, and excellence" and called for "a more dignified future for all," statements that were met with applause.
Subsequently, members of the Superior Conservatory of Dance of Valencia (CSDV) 'Nacho Duato' performed and wore vests with the slogan 'CSDV Dignitat' (CSDV Dignity). Recently, the Ministry of Education initiated procedures for the construction of the Elemental and Professional Conservatory of Dance of Valencia.
Some students collected their awards wearing protest t-shirts with the slogan 'We love public school,' applauded by their colleagues present.
