The local police of Foios (Horta Sud) and the Civil Guard intervened today at the Escultor Badia Institute in the municipality to stop an assault between minors. Two students assaulted another, who was slightly injured.
According to the police, some of those involved may have accessed the center armed with knives and baseball bats, although the investigation is ongoing. Both were arrested, but one has already been released as he was not yet of age to be prosecuted.
The mayor of Foios, Sergio Ruiz, explained that the institute sent a statement to families informing them of an incident that required the intervention of security forces. According to the center, the situation is now under control.
Ruiz stated that it appeared to be an incident between minors of about thirteen or fourteen years old and added that he did not have further information about the events.
