València Sostenible has organized a new edition of Estiu DiverActiu, a program of free activities for families that will take place throughout the summer in various city neighborhoods.

The initiative, promoted by the Energy Office and the Climate Change Observatory, will offer educational, participatory, and leisure activities between June and September. The activities will be held at the venues of Parc de l’Oest, Torrefiel, Aiora, and the Observatory itself.
The Councilor for Climate Improvement and Energy Efficiency, Carlos Mundina, highlighted that the goal is to offer "educational leisure alternatives for families staying in the city during the holidays," with free activities that allow learning "in a fun and participatory way." Mundina also emphasized the distribution of the program across different neighborhoods to bring municipal resources closer to all citizens.
As a new feature this year, and due to the total solar eclipse scheduled for August 12, all participants in Estiu DiverActiu will receive certified glasses to safely enjoy the astronomical event.
The Energy Office will host escape room sessions, “El Gran Apagón” and “E.N.E.R.G.I.A.”, during July and August, where families will solve challenges related to energy and saving. These activities will take place on July 1, August 4, and August 25. Additionally, the workshop “Abanica el calor en familia: personaliza tu abanico y descubre cómo cuidarte este verano” will be held on July 15 and 30, and August 20, where participants will design and personalize fans while learning tips for summer well-being.
For its part, the Climate Change Observatory has prepared a specific program including games, experiments, workshops, and storytelling. It will begin on July 22 with “Abecedario climático,” followed by an experiments session on July 29. On August 5, the storytelling event “El riu d'Elena” will take place for children aged 3 to 7, focusing on the importance of water.
The Observatory's program will continue on August 12 with the Ludoteca Climática, a space for board games and creative activities, and on August 19 with “Les lletres del canvi,” a quiz competition. The final activities will be the workshop “Separar para reciclar” on August 26, to learn about reducing and separating waste, and “Vampiros de la energía” on September 2, to identify devices that consume electricity unnecessarily.
All proposals are designed to "learn by playing and have family experiences," fostering values such as environmental care and responsible resource use. Activities are free until capacity is reached and require prior registration through the València Sostenible website. More information can be requested from the phone numbers provided by the Observatory and the Energy Office.
