The incident occurred around 2:30 AM, involving a taxi and two other vehicles. According to initial hypotheses, the head-on collision may have happened during an overtaking maneuver.
A large emergency response team was deployed to the scene. Firefighters from the local council had to intervene to extricate the victims and injured, who were trapped inside the damaged vehicles. Paramedics treated the injured at the scene before transporting them to hospitals.
The Civil Guard, with the collaboration of the Local Police of Castelló, has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the collision, while traffic was managed on the affected road.
