The Burriana City Council has awarded the gardening and conservation maintenance service for the Clot de la Mare de Déu natural site and coastal meadows to Propoda SL for 67,997.84 euros annually.

Propoda SL has been chosen to carry out the gardening and conservation maintenance of the Clot de la Mare de Déu natural site and the coastal meadows in Burriana. The contract is for one year and amounts to 67,997.84 euros. The selection followed the withdrawal of the initially highest-ranked company due to failure to submit required documentation, thus avoiding service delays.
The contract will ensure continuous green protection within the Clot Special Plan area and the coastal strip from the mouth of the Anna River to the southern border with Nules. Activities include meticulous care of plantations, periodic mowing of meadows, vegetation control, and the upkeep of the irrigation network, including sprinklers and solenoid valves, to ensure efficient water use.
A key innovation in the technical specifications allows for an additional 8% expansion of the Clot's maintenance area. This strategic measure ensures that any new plantations or landscape improvements on adjacent land will receive guaranteed professional care from day one.

"This contract is fundamental to ensure that our natural emblem, the Clot, is always in an optimal state of conservation. Unifying the maintenance under a specialized service will allow us to be more efficient in protecting these spaces, ensuring that both Burriana residents and visitors can also enjoy a well-kept maritime area."
