The program, running from April 22nd to May 4th, focuses on contemporary dance as its central theme, combining exhibition, reflection, and support for creation. Under the motto "RESISTANCE," the festival aims to project the future of this artistic discipline.
The choreographer and dancer from Elche, Asun Noales, directs this event, organized by Otradanza in collaboration with various institutions and cultural spaces. According to the management, this edition is very special and seeks to support creators and companies who view dance as a living and essential language.
“"This anniversary not only looks to the past but also strongly projects the future, hence the RESISTANCE with which we name this event. We have prepared a very special edition, which will begin on April 20th, where innovative proposals coexist with the commitment to continue supporting creators and companies who understand dance as a living and necessary language."
The first performance in Alicante will take place on April 21st at Casa Mediterráneo, where the company Cave Canem will present Aura y el Demiurgo.
