The project, carried out by Aguas de Alicante since mid-January, has fully renewed the sewage network along this main artery and several adjacent streets. The works had led to traffic closures on this road, which connects to Doctor Rico avenue and is a key exit route from the center towards the San Blas and Rabasa areas.
The reopening allows for the restoration of traffic flow on Soto Ameno and re-establishes the connection to the San Fernando Castle area and Miguel Hernández institute via Blas de Loma street.
The works were executed in two phases. The first phase affected the lower section of Soto Ameno, between Santa Felicitas and Santa Isabel streets. The second phase focused on the comprehensive renovation of the collector in the upper section of the avenue.

The main work on the area's sewage infrastructure is now complete. However, final interventions are still pending on Magistral Segura street, a lateral road perpendicular to Soto Ameno.
With the reopening of Condes de Soto Ameno avenue, Alicante regains a crucial connection for daily mobility in San Blas and for travel from the city center towards Rabasa and the A-70 highway.
