The stoppages are scheduled for April 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30, affecting all lines during three time slots: from 07:00 h to 10:00 h, from 13:00 h to 16:00 h, and from 19:00 h to 21:00 h. This mobilization follows previous strikes in March.
The union has presented a total of thirty demands, ten of which focus on technical operational safety and twenty on the negotiation of the XIV collective bargaining agreement. Key demands include professional recognition for train drivers, improved organizational justice, retention of personnel in critical safety positions, and the implementation of a “fair culture” within the company.
Additionally, Semaf is requesting the regulation of temporary employment exchange systems and advancements in working conditions, which they consider stalled within the framework of the agreement negotiation. A mediation meeting held at the Labor Arbitration Court of the Valencian Community concluded without an agreement, as FGV rejected the union's proposal aimed at improving operational, technical, regulatory, and organizational safety.
“"The company's management maintains the same vision that has been applied for forty years, in which the train driver must always be the culprit and responsible for everything, without being provided with means, tools, or recognition."
The strike committee has proposed transferring all issues raised to the collective bargaining agreement commission, provided that FGV agrees to begin the equalization of railway safety systems with the rest of the State's networks. The union warns that if an agreement is not reached, the mobilizations could extend throughout the summer.
