The resolution supports the municipal actions and rules out that the budgetary modifications made have violated current regulations. The complaint questioned whether certain modifications, financed with remainders, could compromise budgetary stability and the Economic-Financial Plan (PEF) approved by the council.
After analyzing the documentation submitted by the City Council, including reports from the Intervention department, budgetary stability assessments, and PEF follow-ups, the Antifraud Agency concluded that the objectives required by the regulations are met, thus deciding to close the case.
The Councilor for Municipal Strategy, Francisco Soler, has welcomed the resolution as confirmation of the legality of the municipal economic management and has rejected any suspicion regarding the use of public funds. He defended that the control mechanisms provided by legislation have been respected.
Soler assured that the City Council "has no economic problems" and that resources from municipal savings are being allocated to investments that improve the city and public services, without questioning the council's economic solvency.
The dismissal of this complaint marks the closure of an investigation into the use of the budgetary remainder and supports the municipal government's position regarding the legality of these financial operations.
