The Valencian hotel sector is optimistically facing the close of the Easter season, following a Holy Week marked by notable occupancy figures. With Sant Vicent Monday being a public holiday in much of the Comunitat Valenciana, many families are extending their vacations, generating significant demand.
Coastal destinations such as La Safor, particularly Gandia, and Marina Baixa, with Benidorm, are emerging as the most sought-after locations. Forecasts indicate occupancy rates nearing 90% in these areas, solidifying their status as preferred choices for travelers. The city of Alicante also remains a prominent option.
“"The sector arrives at the weekend with an occupancy forecast above 85% in some destinations like Benidorm or Gandia, and also in the city of Valencia with the celebration of Sant Vicent."
While inland areas, such as Navajas in Alt Palància, continue to attract visitors seeking nature, the average occupancy in the regions of Castellón, including campsites and second homes, stands at around 70%. This figure includes a significant volume of tourists from the Comunitat Valenciana itself, as well as from Catalonia and Madrid.
Despite the appeal of places like Peníscola (Baix Maestrat) and Montanejos (Alt Millars), potential rainfall has led to some last-minute cancellations, slightly impacting expectations in these areas.
