Over 200 people, including teachers, families, and residents, formed a human chain in Simat de la Valldigna to demand public education in Valencian and of quality.

More than 200 people participated this afternoon in a human chain in Simat de la Valldigna, one of the multiple actions promoted by the educational community to demand public education in Valencian and of quality. The protest, organized by the Association of Student Families and CEIP Valldigna, has once again highlighted social support for the indefinite educational strike, now in its seventh day.
Despite the weariness that a week of mobilizations might entail and the lack of agreement between unions and the Ministry of Education, spirits have not waned among teachers, families, and residents, who continue to take to the streets to show their rejection of current educational policies. The protests, far from losing strength, could be prolonged in the coming days due to the absence of progress in negotiations.
The human chain traversed the municipality in a festive and demanding atmosphere. Participants started from Font Menor and proceeded accompanied by music to Font Gran, where all attendees finally gathered. During the route, protest shouts, reivindicative t-shirts, and numerous displays of support for the educational strike were visible.
The mobilization proceeded without incident and was particularly notable for its high participation, considering it took place on a weekday and in a small municipality like Simat de la Valldigna. Residents of different ages joined, as they have in recent days, the call to show their support for teachers and defend a quality public school in Valencian.
