The Safor region will once again host one of the leading music festivals in the Valencian Community and the oldest continuously running one. This year's program includes a variety of styles such as African music, flamenco, Cuban music, rhythm & blues, Latin jazz, American folk, and classic reinterpretations of international pop.
The Councilor for Culture, Balbina Sendra, highlighted the importance of culture as an economic and tourist driver for the city. "We are working decisively on the culture-tourism binomial because we know that culture is also a tourist product that enriches the city's productive fabric and generates dynamism in sectors such as hospitality, commerce, and leisure," she stated.
The festival will kick off on July 23 with a free performance by Doña Manteca, a Valencian group composed exclusively of women who pay homage to great Latin rhythms. The lineup will continue with artists such as Patax, Jeff Espinoza & The Gypsy Runners, La Jose, Kanazoé Orkestra, Mayelín Naranjo, Los Saxos del Averno, Sedajazz Latin Big Band, and Camerata Virtuosi.
The municipal technician and programmer, Eudald González, emphasized the focus on the exclusivity of many of the offerings, featuring international artists who will perform only in Gandia in Spain. "This uniqueness is one of the festival's great assets and makes the city a must-visit for music lovers," he affirmed.
Regarding prices, the festival maintains an accessible policy. Individual tickets cost 10 euros (with a reduced rate of 8 euros for pensioners and Carnet Jove holders). Season tickets for four concerts (36 or 28 euros with discount) and for eight concerts (64 or 48 euros with discount) have also been made available. Tickets are already on sale.
