La Mutant in València hosts 'Jornada Cósmica' on June 27th, the closing event of the 'Constelaciones y asterismos' art cycle, which explores light and the body through various disciplines.

On June 27th, La Mutant in València will host 'Jornada Cósmica', the event marking the end of the annual program ‘Constelaciones y asterismos’, in its third and final edition. The activity will begin at 10:30 AM and run until 2:00 PM.
The day will start with a walk around the vicinity of the municipal center for living arts, guided by sunlight. Subsequently, participants will engage in a massage designed to explore vision, movement, and touch from new perspectives.
The session will continue with a drawing practice and conclude with the concert ‘Cantares como soles’ by Raquel Cruces y Campaneras. This repertoire of songs, which they explain has guided their ancestors, has been used since ancient times for drawing solar circles.
Taller Placer, the artistic collective formed by Vicente Arlandis and actress Paula Miralles, is the driving force behind this project. Through their platform, they promote critical practices as tools for social and personal transformation, encompassing artistic research, mediation, and the programming of living arts.
The ‘Constelaciones y asterismos’ cycle began three years ago with the question 'What is light?'. According to Arlandis and Miralles, the question remains unanswered but has served as an excuse for collective encounters and learning with professionals from various disciplines such as astrophysicists, speleologists, and musicians.
The first edition explored light through a conference-performance and a night excursion, leading to the piece ‘Corrimiento al rojo’. The second edition focused on darkness with an experience in a cave and the collective reading of Annie Dillard's essay ‘Eclipse total’, concluding with a concert by Enrique del Castillo.
The third and final edition, culminating in 'Jornada Cósmica', has focused on 'videncia' (clairvoyance), understood as the ability to perceive what is not shown. Drawing workshops have been held facing the landscape, exploring light through manual gesture, and materials on physical and symbolic blindness have been activated, including a visit to the ONCE in València.
As a culmination, the collective introduced a sunbeam into the Cova Fosca cave in Ondara, giving its name to their third piece, ‘Rayo Audaz’. The final event on June 27th aims to be an invitation to welcome summer through the body and pause, sharing the cycle's discoveries with those who have accompanied them.
