The city of Gandia experienced an exceptional Easter Week, with tourist occupancy rates nearing 90% in its accommodations, establishing itself as one of the most sought-after destinations during this holiday period.

The high influx of visitors allowed both hotels and hospitality establishments to reach, in many cases, technical full capacity. Hotels, in particular, recorded an occupancy close to 90% in most of their establishments, thanks to a combination of individual tourists and the consolidation of sports operations.

"Easter Week has been very positive for the hotel sector thanks to the sum of individual visitors and the consolidation of sports operations, which has generated a technical full occupancy."

Other accommodation types, such as campsites and bungalows, also showed strong demand, with occupancy rates ranging between 80% and 100%, reflecting the widespread success of the local tourism sector. The restaurant industry also noted a significant increase in activity.

"This Easter Week has been very positive for Gandia's hospitality sector. The good weather has undoubtedly been a great ally and has contributed to thousands of people choosing our destination to enjoy a few days of rest. We have noticed a large influx of visitors and, furthermore, we have perceived the arrival of a tourist profile that, on other occasions, at this time, used to opt for trips abroad. This demonstrates that Gandia is a competitive, attractive destination with the capacity to offer a quality gastronomic experience throughout the year."

In addition to the general influx, the city hosted over 6,000 Portuguese students as part of the Hype Travel operation, an initiative that has been boosting local tourism for over a decade and contributed to filling numerous hotel establishments. The Councillor for Tourism, Balbina Sendra, expressed her satisfaction with the results.

"We are satisfied with the results obtained. The sector has positively valued the campaign, and we are already working on the measures we will implement, which will help us continue to offer tourists a complete destination with all kinds of leisure alternatives, such as those we have developed during the Easter holidays. Gandia continues to consolidate its presence in the Portuguese market through an operation that, hand in hand with Hype Travel, is already part of the city's tourism calendar and projects our image among thousands of young visitors."
