The new citizen service office in the Benipeixcar district of Gandia has registered over 750 services since its launch on February 9, confirming the positive reception of the service among local residents.

The mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, highlighted that these figures

"demonstrate that there was a real need to bring administration closer to the districts"

and recalled that this initiative responds to the commitment made by the local executive to decentralize municipal services. The new office is part of the municipal strategy to facilitate citizens' access to administrative procedures, avoiding unnecessary trips to the city center. In this regard, Gandia already has several service points distributed between the center, Grau, and Benipeixcar.
For her part, the president of the Benipeixcar District Board, Inma Rodríguez, emphasized the importance of the service for the neighborhood.

"It is a much-needed resource that brings administration closer to residents in a space that reopens its doors to public service, facilitating daily procedures"

Finally, the Councilor for Administration, Adrià Vila, insisted that

"while the Conselleria and the Generalitat close proximity services, we maintain our commitment to serving citizens closely"

Furthermore, the councilor announced the opening of a new Citizen Service Office in the Benipeixcar neighborhood, located in the former Sant Cristòfol school, which will open tomorrow. The public service offices in Gandia and the Grau and Benipeixcar neighborhoods will operate during winter hours, from October to May, generally from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with the Gandia office extending its hours from Monday to Thursday to include afternoon service from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, while the Grau and Benipeixcar offices will open on Mondays for both morning and afternoon service, and from Tuesday to Friday only in the morning.
