A new demonstration marched through the center of Valencia this Saturday to demand the deputy seat of former Generalitat president, Carlos Mazón, and to call for "truth, justice, and reparation" for the victims of the flood.

The protest, led by representatives of flood victims' associations, highlighted that "we still don't know the truth" and that they will continue to take to the streets until their objectives are met. Some attendees displayed t-shirts with slogans like "No to Mazón's immunity" or "20.11, neither oblivion nor forgiveness," and banners with critical messages regarding the tragedy's management.
A banner reading "Now we all raise our voice for those who can no longer" was unfurled, and chants such as "They are not dead, they are murdered" and "No to immunity, yes to Picassent" were heard. The march was joined by a contingent of families and teachers, as part of the ongoing indefinite strike in the public non-university education sector.

"The support remains alive, more alive than ever. We move forward because we have the same objective as that day: truth, justice, reparation, and future security."

Mariló Gradolí, president of the Association Victims of the Flood October 29, 2024, emphasized that nine months after the flood, the victims still lack "truth, justice, and reparation." She noted that the Flood Investigation Commission of the Corts was a "charade" and that the "real investigation commission" is instruction court number 3 of Catarroja, where it is becoming clear that "there was sufficient information to alert the population" and it was not done.
For her part, Elizabeth González, vice-president of the Association of Flood Victims of l'Horta Sud, reiterated the demand for "Mazón to hand over his deputy seat," calling his continued position "a direct mockery of the citizens." She also called for "emergency works and not reconstruction" for the affected area.
The march, convened by over 200 civic, social, and union entities, began at the Valencia City Hall square and concluded at the Plaza de la Mare de Déu, passing through emblematic streets in the city center.
