The town of Beniarjó is preparing to experience its festivities in honor of Saint Mark the Evangelist, a celebration declared of Local Tourist Interest that combines tradition, culture, and festivity from April 24 to 26.

The festive program will begin on Friday, April 24, with the departure of the Sant Marc Boxes from Ausiàs March Square, an event led by the youngest residents that serves as a preparatory organizational signal for the festivities. In the afternoon, children will also participate in the Flag Bearers' Dance. The day will conclude with a night-time open-air dance in Palau Square, where chocolate and 'mona' (a traditional cake) will be distributed, thanks to the collaboration of the Beniarjó Women's Association.
On Saturday, April 25, the main day of the festivities, the traditional blessing of the land will take place, followed by a solemn mass. In the afternoon, there will be a "Holi Fiesta" for all ages. The highlight will be the Sant Marc Flag Dance, considered one of the oldest popular historical manifestations in La Safor. Afterwards, a solemn procession will be held, followed by a popular dinner, a performance by the orchestra La Tribu, and a 'correfocs' (fire run) to close the day.
On Sunday, April 26, the program will continue with family theater. The play Anna and the Mystery of the Lost Stuffed Animals, by Aiguamar Teatre, will be staged.
The Sant Marc festivities will conclude with the XVIII Sant Marc Cycling Tour, which will take place on Sunday, May 3. This tour is open to participants of all ages, and registrations can be formalized until April 23 at the Town Hall or the municipal library. The proceeds from registrations will be entirely donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The route will start in Ausiàs March Square and go to the Convent of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, where participants will enjoy refreshments and a scavenger hunt before returning to Beniarjó.

"These festivities are designed for all audiences, combining tradition, culture, and coexistence. I encourage residents and visitors who come to Beniarjó to participate in the various scheduled events."
