Arantxa Sanchis Muñoz has officially accepted her role as Godmother of Gandia's Holy Week 2027 and Camarera of the Santísimo Cristo Resucitado, in a ceremony held at the Fomento gardens.

The Fomento gardens served as the chosen venue for one of the most anticipated events in the city's religious calendar. Arantxa Sanchis Muñoz pronounced her definitive 'yes' upon accepting her new role, in a ceremony marked by solemnity and family remembrance.
The Mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, presented the official diploma accrediting her as the main representative of the festivity for the upcoming year. During his speech, the mayor highlighted Sanchis's trajectory within her corporation and described the choice as a success by the Junta Mayor de Hermandades.
Prieto emphasized the strong ties that connect the new Godmother with the city's traditions, a bond that goes beyond the institutional and traces back to family devotion. Arantxa Sanchis's story reflects a received inheritance, being the granddaughter of Joaquín Sanchis, who refounded the Hermandad de la Sagrada Oración de Jesús en el Huerto, and the daughter of Ximo Sanchis, who served as its Hermano Mayor.
Following in the footsteps of her mother, Fely Muñoz, who held this position in 2004, Sanchis, a court administrator in the Justice System, joined the board of directors at just 18 years old and currently serves as Vice-Hermana Mayor, demonstrating a life of faith and dedication.
