The La Ribera region will be at the center of economic and social debate this Thursday, April 23, with the 'More Than Companies' forum held at the Cullera Auditorium.

This event, promoted by Levante-EMV, continues its journey through the Valencian regions, offering a space for shared reflection. Institutions, businesses, and social entities will analyze the present and future challenges of a diverse and constantly transforming territory.
Speaking of La Ribera means speaking in plural. The duality between Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa not only responds to a geographical division but also reflects differentiated productive models and socioeconomic realities. Ribera Alta has consolidated a business fabric linked to industry and agriculture focused on citrus and persimmons, while Ribera Baixa combines agrarian tradition with rice as its emblem, with the weight of coastal tourism and the influence of nearby industrial hubs.
This diversity is precisely one of the region's great strengths, but it also raises questions about its future. How to maintain competitiveness in a globalized environment without sacrificing social cohesion and territorial sustainability has become one of the key issues that will mark La Ribera's development in the coming years. In this context, the 'More Than Companies' forum seeks to generate a dialogue space where these issues can be addressed from different perspectives.
The event is supported by Veolia, the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), Caixa Popular, and Cámara Valencia, as well as the collaboration of Cruz Roja, Ivace, and the Cullera City Council. The sum of these actors reflects the desire to integrate both the business sector and public administrations and the social sphere into the debate, with a transversal approach to identify shared solutions.
The day will begin at 10:00 AM with an institutional greeting from the deputy director of Levante-EMV, Isabel Olmos, who will then introduce the official welcome by the mayor of Cullera, Jordi Mayor. Following this, the general director of Industry of Ivace, Julio Delgado, will offer a presentation focused on the main strategic aid lines for the region, a key aspect at a time when resource attraction and support for innovation are crucial for economic growth.
After the institutional opening, the forum will delve into the analysis of La Ribera's challenges and opportunities with a first debate panel focused on the economic and social dimension of the territory. This block will highlight the differences and similarities between Ribera Alta and Baixa, as well as the factors that condition their evolution.
The second part of the day will be dedicated to the role of companies in improving the economic and social environment through their corporate social responsibility policies. The panel 'Companies with CSR commitment in the region' will focus on initiatives that go beyond economic activity to generate a positive impact on the territory.
The day will conclude at 11:30 AM, after a morning of analysis and reflection that aims to contribute to shaping the future of La Ribera from a collaborative perspective. The 'More Than Companies' forum thus consolidates itself as a platform for sharing experiences, identifying opportunities, and, above all, listening to the actors who build the present of the region day by day.
