The mayors of El Perelló, Sueca, and Mareny de Barraquetes met this Wednesday with the head of the Coastal Demarcation in Valencia to discuss key coastal issues before the summer season.

The meeting, held on the eve of a new summer campaign, aimed to prepare the beaches and ensure the best conditions for both residents and visitors. The delegation of mayors raised various problems related to the coast, emphasizing the need for effective coordination between administrations.
Among the main topics discussed were the application of the new fee for the occupation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain, in force since this year, as well as the imminent sand replenishment in the beach section between El Perelló and Motilla.
According to the Coastal Demarcation, sand replenishment work is scheduled to begin between May 20 and 25, with an approximate duration of two weeks. Subsequently, the regeneration of the dune system will be carried out, a fundamental action for coastal protection.

"We are facing key weeks to ensure that our beaches are in the best possible conditions. Coordination with Costas is fundamental to respond to the needs of our coast and offer a safe and attractive environment during the summer season. We must work jointly with the other affected municipalities and competent administrations to solve the structural challenges presented by the coast."
