The Councilor for Social Coexistence and Interculturality of Castelló participated in the European Forum on Local Governance of Religious Diversity, held in Madrid to present the municipal model for managing diversity.

During a roundtable discussion, the municipal representative explained the operation of the Interreligious Table of Castelló. This body, which was the culmination of a process initiated in 2006, currently serves as a dialogue space for 24 entities of different religious denominations.
As the councilor highlighted, managing religious diversity is a daily reality that requires concrete actions. The main goal of this initiative is to leverage the participatory potential of faith communities, prevent potential conflicts through mutual recognition, and foster shared responsibility in building an intercultural city.

"The establishment of the Interreligious Table of Castelló was not a starting point, it was a destination. It was the institutional culmination of work that had been underway since 2006."
