The Compromís municipal group at Valencia City Council has presented a motion requesting the creation of a municipal guide to regulate the use of generative artificial intelligence.

The proposal, addressed to the Finance Commission, seeks to establish clear criteria for the use of these technologies in institutional communication. The main objective is to prevent AI from harming professionals in design, illustration, and visual communication, sectors that have been fundamental to the city's image.
The motion suggests that the Consell Local del Disseny should be the body responsible for drafting this guide. According to the party, technological innovation should be an opportunity and not a tool to sideline human talent or weaken a strategic sector for Valencia.

"Public institutions must set an example and commit to protecting our professionals."
