The national poster contest for the Moros y Cristianos festivities in Alzira has selected the work titled L'herència d'un rei, created by a local illustrator, as the winner.

The design was chosen in the 15th edition of this contest, which seeks the representative image for the town's festivities. The author, who also won the first prize in the 2024 edition with the work titled Cap a la Muralla, has been awarded a 500-euro prize this year.
The winning piece stands out for its symbolic weight, combining the figure of the Arab leader who fled upon the monarch's arrival with the Penó de la Conquesta. Furthermore, the author included heritage elements of the city such as the Sant Gregori bridge and the Santa María church, coinciding with the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the death of James I.
A total of thirteen works from various parts of the country participated in this call, including regions such as La Rioja, Madrid, Aragon, Galicia, and Murcia, as well as entries from the three provinces of the Valencian Community.
