The Castelló City Council has acquired nine electric karts for the Local Police's road safety park in Tetuán XIV, with an investment of 21,000 euros, to enhance the training of over 1,900 students.

The vehicle fleet at the Local Police's road safety park, located in Tetuán XIV, has been expanded with the addition of nine electric karts. This acquisition, which involved an investment of 21,000 euros by the Castelló City Council, brings the total number of available vehicles to one hundred, including traditional karts, electric karts (some adapted with double seats for people with reduced mobility), and bicycles.

"This improvement facilitates the mobility of students from early childhood, primary, and special education, allowing those with greater difficulties to enjoy this park more thanks to electric assistance."

the Councillor for Security and Emergencies
The Councillor for Security and Emergencies highlighted the importance of this initiative, emphasizing the fundamental work of the road safety unit. As stated, it is crucial to educate and raise awareness in this area, as today's users will be tomorrow's drivers.
The new karts have been adapted for users with heights between 120 and 190 centimeters, which broadens the range of students who can participate in the activities. Since September 2025, the park has welcomed over 1,900 students from 24 educational centers, not only from Castelló. It is expected that by the end of the year, 2,500 students will have visited, and with talks in secondary schools, over 4,000 students are reached.
In parallel, improvements have also been made to the facilities, such as repainting lines, renewing horizontal signage, and conditioning the flowerbeds. These actions aim to ensure that all users can enjoy a safer and more accessible environment.
