The writer from Geldo, Miguel Alayrach, is set to present his new children's story, Cuquita y Cuquito, on Saturday, April 11, at the IV Geldo Book Fair, a work illustrated by Sergio Montal and published by Batidora Ediciones.

This new illustrated album delicately and clearly explores concepts such as loneliness, the importance of human connections, and the happiness that arises from emotional bonds. The narrative invites young readers to reflect on feelings, friendship, and the need to open up to others, highlighting how isolation can affect emotional well-being.
The book is distinguished by its careful production, featuring a hardcover and high-grammage matte paper, with 40 pages and 14 double digital illustrations. These illustrations, with vibrant colors and balanced composition, complement the narrative rhythm and enhance the emotional depth of the story.
With Cuquita y Cuquito, Miguel Alayrach now has 27 works dedicated to children's audiences, solidifying a career that includes titles such as La revolución de los animales feos, ¿Y si nuestro hermanito Laconcito no es un cerdito?, and El país de los cocodrilos tristes. The author has been awarded the Tombatossals Children's Literature Prize on two occasions.
In this work, Alayrach collaborates once again with Sergio Montal, an illustrator and graphic designer specializing in children's literature, known for his style inspired by naive art and spontaneous strokes, utilizing techniques such as collage and digital illustration.
The launch of Cuquita y Cuquito is part of the fair's cultural program, underscoring Geldo's commitment to promoting literature and supporting local authors.
