The official presentation of the festivities was attended by the queen of the festivities and her court of honor, as well as representatives from the city council, the Festival Board, and the Peñas Commission. This year, 9,000 copies of the official program have been printed, which will be distributed this Wednesday and Thursday at the Gran Casino.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, May 15, with the official opening in the Jaume I garden, the inauguration of the food-truck area, and the opening of the Recinto de la Marcha. The traditional Crida a la Festa in the Plaza Mayor will mark the beginning, along with the third edition of La Crida Fest, featuring several DJs.
Among the most notable events are the flower offering to Saint Paschal, the pontifical mass, the procession in honor of the patron saint, the Nit de la Xulla, the paella contest, the festival parade, and the final fireworks display.
The musical program includes performances such as Rock per la Llengua, with Apologia, Esther, and Auxili, as well as the Panorama orchestra and the Bee Rock Fest Vol. X. Concerts by Marta Sánchez on Saturday, May 23, and David Civera on Sunday, May 24, will bring the festivities to a close. The Recinto de la Marcha will also offer musical proposals throughout the festive week, with afternoon parties, mobile discos, and performances organized by local clubs and groups.
The program also incorporates children's activities under the Jugant, jugant format, exhibitions, contests, theater, sports, solidarity events, environmental campaigns, and awareness points such as Violet Points and Addiction-Free Points. Bullfighting events, the amusement fair, and the peñas program are maintained, along with religious celebrations in the basilica in honor of Saint Paschal.
