Albuixech will host the sixth edition of the July Musical during the Saturdays of July, a free festival themed ‘Particular Loves’ that will explore the relationship between music and love.

The Plaça de la Llibertat will be the venue for the sixth edition of the Juliol Musical, taking place on Saturdays, July 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. This year, the free festival is themed ‘Els amors particulars’ (Particular Loves) and will focus its program on the connection between music and the different experiences of love. The lineup will feature a blend of band music, jazz, opera, pop, soul, and opera.
The Councilor for Culture, Mari Luz Castellano, highlighted that the 2026 edition aims to establish a link between music and love, two elements that often intertwine and mutually enrich each other. Castellano emphasized music's capacity to evoke the various emotional states associated with love and celebrated the festival's growth, now in its sixth edition with a diverse and accessible offering for all audiences.
The first performance will be on Saturday, July 4th, with the concert ‘El amor y el viento’ (Love and the Wind), featuring the Banda d’Albuixech, the Societat Musical Eslava, and the band from the Societat Musical d’Alboraia. This way, band music will open a program that underscores the municipality's connection with such ensembles.
On Saturday, July 11th, Lírica Big Band will perform, a Valencian jazz ensemble that merges the language of big bands with lyrical repertoire. The third event, on July 18th, will feature ‘Canciones de Amor’ (Love Songs), a show by Sarah Rope and Pau Cháfer, presenting covers of pop, soul, and opera hits.
The festival will conclude on Saturday, July 25th, with the Quinteto Casulana and their show ‘Entre el clavel y la espada’ (Between the Carnation and the Sword). The final day will also include a performance by La Locomotora Jazz Band, a dixieland group inspired by New Orleans jazz, offering sets at 8:15 PM at the old town hall entrance and at 10:30 PM, before the closing concert.
The festival also includes Juliol Musical Educa, an initiative by the Societat Musical Eslava incorporated in 2025 to bring music closer to schoolchildren. The 2026 edition focused on brass instruments, with the participation of Spanish Brass, who conducted age-adapted activities for students at CEIP Tomás Albert and the Escoleta Municipal. Future editions will be dedicated to string and woodwind instruments.
Mari Luz Castellano emphasized that the educational component demonstrates the festival's growth and the importance of providing children with cultural and musical tools. With this sixth edition, Albuixech strengthens a cultural offering that combines free performances, live music, and artistic training throughout July.
