The Children's Council of Vila-real has for the first time hosted a group of Erasmus students from Italy, as part of an educational exchange with the Fundación Flors to share municipal management experiences.

This exchange represents a further step in the international projection of this child participation body, which includes nearly 70 minors from the town. The working session, the seventh of the academic year, included an evaluation of the solidarity sandwich activity organized on March 13 and a dynamic to foster cultural exchange among participants.

"It is a source of pride for Vila-real to receive, once again, students from other countries. They are interested in the Children's Council, an initiative that demonstrates that our city is a benchmark in the participation of young people in municipal life, a participation that has a decade of existence."

the Councilor for Citizen Participation
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Miriam Caravaca, welcomed the students and teachers, highlighting the enrichment these initiatives bring to young people, allowing them to exchange knowledge, experiences, and traditions with students from other countries.
The Italian delegation, from IC Bursi Spezzano in Fiorano Modenese, is participating in the first Erasmus+ exchange for early childhood and primary education by the Fundación Flors. The first phase of the project took place in Italy from April 14 to 21, with 18 primary school students and three teachers from Vila-real. The second phase is being held in Spain from April 21 to 28, with 16 Italian students and six teachers.
During the visit, the students learned about traditional instruments thanks to the Cultural Association El Trull and visited the courtyard of the Casa dels Mundina to see the city's ancient giants. The program emphasizes full immersion, as students are hosted by families in both Italy and Spain.
