A total of 4,283 hospitalized patients in the province of Castellón received therapeutic visits from Payasospital during 2025. This initiative, which uses humor, music, and artistic interaction, took place at the General Hospital of Castellón and the La Plana Hospital in Vila-real, with weekly performances over eleven months.
According to the organization's 2025 Report, the interventions reached 3,582 pediatric patients and 701 adults, through 126 workdays and over 630 hours of personalized performances.
Payasospital's activity also positively impacted 4,060 accompanying family members and 2,308 healthcare professionals who participated in the visits. The shows were coordinated with medical teams to adapt them to the patients' clinical and emotional situations, helping to reduce anxiety and stress associated with hospitalization.
The NGO's stable presence in the pediatric services of the General Hospital of Castellón and the La Plana Hospital of Vila-real is part of its healthcare humanization programs. In addition to in-person performances, Payasospital developed programs via videoconference, accompaniment in operating rooms, home visits, and performances in residences.
With over 27 years of activity in the Valencian Community, Payasospital aims to improve the emotional state of patients of all ages through artistic interventions. The entity also provided 48 training sessions during 2025, totaling 281 hours with the participation of 136 people.
