Over 300 students from the Municipal School of Dance in Burriana participated in two end-of-year galas held at the Teatre Payà, where they presented the work developed throughout the academic year in the various disciplines taught at the Centre Municipal de les Arts to the public.
The performances brought together children, youth, adult, and senior students on stage, in a program designed to reflect the center's artistic evolution and the diversity of profiles within the school. Through different choreographies and stage proposals, participants marked the final closing of a course characterized by training, consistency, and progressive learning.
The Councilor for Culture, Alejandro Clausell, highlighted the involvement of the educational community and stated that «these performances reflect the effort, consistency, and passion that students and teachers put into the classrooms every day». He also emphasized that the galas are «a demonstration of the important role that artistic training plays in people's personal development».
The director of the Centre Municipal de les Arts, Ana Llopis, also valued the participation of students of different ages and affirmed that «these galas have shown that dance is a discipline open to all ages and capable of accompanying people through different stages of their lives, fostering both artistic growth and personal well-being».
The first session featured children and youth students, with a show focused on the importance of dance as a tool for personal growth. The various choreographic pieces demonstrated how artistic practice contributes to the development of values such as effort, discipline, creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
The second gala included the participation of adult and senior students, who offered a scenic journey through the emotions that accompany human beings throughout their lives. Through dance, participants explored feelings such as joy, fear, hope, nostalgia, and love, in a performance marked by sensitivity and expressiveness.
The center also recognized the work of the teaching team, composed of Juan Mochales, Olga Martínez, Antonio Jumillas, María Teresa de Gaspar, Melissa Usina, Nuria Leis, and Xavi Ripollés, whose efforts were key in preparing the performances and in the students' educational development.
The Centre Municipal de les Arts de Burriana is a public institution recognized by the Generalitat Valenciana and develops a pedagogical program aimed at ensuring progressive and quality learning in various dance specialties.
