The initiative, led by Mayor Carmina Ballester, along with Councilor for Neighborhoods Marta Villanueva and Councilor for Public Roads Vicente Ramón, aims to strengthen citizen participation and bring local administration closer to residents. During the visit, various requests related to urban maintenance, cleanliness, and the improvement of public spaces were addressed.
Among the most prominent demands raised by Sant Pere residents are the improvement of signage in the area, the installation and replacement of waste bins, the painting of the stairs at the Sant Pere portal, and actions concerning the lighting of a saint in Sant Pere street itself. These actions aim to enhance the overall condition of the surroundings and ensure better urban conservation.
“"The best way to govern is by being on the street, listening directly to the residents, and closely understanding what each neighborhood needs."
The Mayor has assured that the City Council has taken note of all requests and will work to resolve them as soon as possible, prioritizing the most necessary actions for the daily lives of Onda's citizens. The 'Barri a Barri' campaign is consolidating as a fundamental tool for more effective management tailored to the real needs of each area.
Through these periodic visits, the government team gathers neighborhood proposals and supervises the condition of streets, squares, and infrastructure on-site, facilitating more efficient planning of municipal actions. The Onda City Council will continue to develop new 'Barri a Barri' sessions in the different neighborhoods and scattered areas of the municipality, reaffirming its commitment to close and people-centered management.
