Onda has reinforced the conservation of its Protected Historic Center (CHP) by approving over 50,000 euros in aid since 2025. Throughout this period, the City Council has managed a total of 30 applications, focusing on housing rehabilitation and the preparation of Building Evaluation Reports (IEE), aiming to preserve and enhance the residential heritage of the old town.
The majority of this investment is directed towards housing rehabilitation. Since 2025, 19 applications have been submitted, with ten already having completed their processing. These actions have mobilized 46,024.95 euros, of which 36,524.95 euros have been granted and paid. An additional 9,500 euros have received a favorable report and will be submitted for final approval in the coming weeks.
The subsidies fund works aimed at improving the conservation, accessibility, habitability, and urban image of properties located in the historic center, contributing to their residential revitalization and the preservation of their heritage value.
Concurrently, the council maintains an active line of aid for the preparation of Building Evaluation Reports (IEE), an essential technical document to certify the conservation status of buildings and facilitate access to future rehabilitation grants. Since 2025, 11 applications have been processed, all granted and paid, with a municipal investment of 4,660 euros.
These grants allow residents to undertake necessary actions on their homes while contributing to the conservation of urban heritage.
The Councilor for Urban Development, María Baila, highlighted that these grants enable residents to carry out necessary work on their homes while contributing to the conservation of urban heritage. She also noted that the City Council continues to support property owners in keeping the historic center vibrant through building rehabilitation and compliance with technical requirements that ensure safety and preservation.
In addition to specific aid for the Protected Historic Center, the City Council offers other support programs for individuals over 65 and those with disabilities exceeding 65% to improve the accessibility and habitability of their homes. Since 2025, 13 applications have been registered, totaling 73,200.14 euros, with over 56,000 euros already granted or with a favorable report.
