The deadline for submitting works is September 4th. Submissions must be delivered in paper format, inside a sealed envelope containing the work, participant's contact details, and a curriculum vitae. Additionally, they must be submitted in digital format, either as a PDF or on a USB drive.
The Jocs Florals include Ordinary and Extraordinary Prizes. The main award, the Flor Natural, is endowed with 4,000 euros for the best poetry collection on any theme and meter. Awards for Poetry on religious or ethical themes (500 euros) and patriotic themes (500 euros) are also included.
Among the Extraordinary Prizes, the Anna Rebeca Poetry Prize (1,000 euros) is introduced for the best poem of at least 70 verses on a free theme, written by a citizen of Nules. The Children's Poetry Collection Prize (500 euros) will recognize the best free-theme poem aimed at children.
The tenth edition of the Research and Dissemination Awards continues with several categories related to the language, history, local memory, economy, and social fabric of Nules. These awards include Linguistic Research on Valencian (2,000 euros), sponsored by the Valencian Academy of Language; Historical Aspects of the Town of Nules (500 euros); and Nules and its Socio-economic Transformation (1,500 euros), sponsored by Grespania.
Also announced are the prizes for Care and attention for those who care for our elders (250 euros), aimed at individuals over 60; Melodies of Memory (500 euros); The Sant Josep Agricultural Cooperative: a century of commitment to the land and people of Nules (600 euros); and Contributions of Rural Banks to the Primary Sector: the case of Caixa Rural Nules in the last 100 years (1,000 euros).
As a new feature, a prize of 1,000 euros is introduced for the best work on Capacities that inspire stories of an inclusive society, sponsored by the Association of Businesspeople of the Valencian Community for the Labor Integration of People with Disabilities. Integrem Training Center.
The ordinary prizes and the Linguistic Research on Valencian award must be written in Valencian. The remaining research and dissemination prizes can be submitted in either Valencian or Spanish. Research and dissemination works must have a minimum length of 15 pages, use Times New Roman font size 12, 1.5 line spacing, and follow APA citation standards.
The call for entries excludes works created, in whole or in part, with Artificial Intelligence. The jury, composed of prominent figures from the literary and cultural world, may leave prizes vacant if no work meets the required literary standard. Award-winning texts will cede their intellectual property rights to the Nules City Council if requested for commemorative editions.
