Moncofa will become a key point in international cycling on April 17, as it hosts the finish line for the second stage of the Volta Castelló and the Víctor Cabedo Trophy, part of the UCI Nations Cup Junior.

This competition, one of the most prominent in the world calendar for the junior category, will take place from April 16 to 19 and will bring together 20 national teams from around the globe. Participating countries include Italy, Mexico, Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Germany, France, and Great Britain.
The stage, which will start in Altura and cover a distance of 94.3 kilometers, will conclude at the hermitage of Moncofa. Cyclists are expected to arrive around 3:00 PM.

"We are very happy to host an event of this international level, which places Moncofa on the world cycling map and allows us to showcase our municipality to athletes and teams from all over the world."

Arancha Igual · Sports Councilor of Moncofa City Council
For his part, the mayor, Wences Alós Valls, emphasized the importance of these events for the municipality. He highlighted that they not only promote sports but also generate activity and projection, consolidating Moncofa as a destination prepared to host top-level competitions.
With this new finish line, Moncofa reaffirms its commitment to sports and the organization of internationally relevant events. It is worth noting that in 2024 the town already hosted the stage finish of the Women's Tour of Spain and in 2025 it was the venue for the Volta Ciclista a Castelló.
