The Tots Units Foundation has concluded in Vila-real the first edition of the pre-employment workshop «Prepara't. Auxiliar Polivalente», an initiative that has enabled 16 individuals to improve their employability and social inclusion.

The Tots Units Foundation has celebrated the closure of the first edition of the pre-employment workshop «Prepara't. Auxiliar Polivalente», an initiative aimed at improving the employability of unemployed individuals facing social and labor difficulties in accessing the job market. The project was made possible through the collaboration of the Vila-real City Council. A total of 16 people, eight men and eight women, participated in this first edition. Participants were referred by municipal social services and other social entities in the city, such as Fundació Amigó, Joventut Antoniana, and Cáritas Vila-real.
During the closing ceremony, the Councilor for Social Services, Toni Marín, highlighted the importance of these programs as tools for inclusion and social support. «All people deserve an opportunity to train and work. This workshop has allowed them to acquire professional knowledge and skills, but also to strengthen their confidence, sense of belonging, and social inclusion,» he stated.
Marín emphasized the effort made by the students, many of whom come from complex situations, and underlined the need to maintain public policies that guarantee equal opportunities. In this regard, he recalled that municipal collaboration is fundamental for insertion projects like this to be developed and continue offering real opportunities to those most in need. «We want those who reside in Vila-real to feel welcomed and be part of our community. Social inclusion also involves facilitating access to training and employment, key tools for building autonomous and dignified life projects,» affirmed the councilor.
The training program focused on the professional profile of a Multipurpose Assistant, with content related to waste management, surface cleaning, and logistics tasks. Additionally, participants received complementary training in transversal skills such as citizenship, digital skills, equal opportunities, and career guidance. Another highlighted aspect of the project was the legal advice offered to participants involved in administrative regularization processes, an essential matter for fostering their full inclusion and expanding their employment opportunities.
From the Tots Units Foundation, they indicated that the completion of the workshop represents a significant step forward for the participants, although the insertion process now continues through active job searching and access to new training actions. The entity wished to thank the commitment, involvement, and effort demonstrated by all participants during these months of training, as well as the collaboration of the referring entities and the Vila-real City Council, whose support has made the development of this initiative possible.
