The city of Burriana has become the national meeting point for Vocational Training professionals in the Wood, Furniture, and Cork sector, with the celebration of the 30th Profemadera Conference, bringing together 70 teachers from all autonomous communities.

The Auditori Juan Varea in Burriana has been the main venue for this event, jointly organized by the Profemadera association and the IES Jaume I. These annual conferences, held since 1995, are a key point for the exchange of pedagogical and technological experiences in the sector.
Profemadera, founded in 1997, is a national association that promotes the improvement of Vocational Training in the Wood, Furniture, and Cork family. With over 25 years of experience, the entity fosters collaboration between educational centers, companies, and teachers, promoting innovative educational projects and international mobility.
During the two days of activity, the presentations have focused on educational innovation, the digitalization of workshops, and the analysis of new professions demanded by the market. The program is designed to foster direct contact between teaching professionals and companies in the sector, facilitating a networking space to share knowledge that will improve the quality of public education.

"It is a pleasure to host this year and welcome seventy teachers from all over Spain who come to share their experience with our students."

Alejandro Clausell · Councillor for Education of Burriana
As a grand finale to the conference, a symbolic gesture was carried out at the CEIP Roca i Alcaide: the planting of 18 trees. One specimen for each autonomous community of Spain and an additional one representing the Burriana City Council. This act seeks to highlight the unity of the entire territory around education and sustainability.

"The planting of these 18 trees is the best symbol of an education that takes root, unites all autonomies, and commits to the school environment of Burriana."
